We’re Cade and Holli- a married couple of lazy millennials from Guthrie, Oklahoma. Holli has a Master’s in Psychology and is pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration. She works full-time as a drug and substance abuse counselor. Cade likes to read and write things. His wife is smarter than he is. He works full-time as an amusement ride safety inspector for the Department of Labor.
For the past few years, we’ve been working on simplifying our lives, fixing mistakes we’ve made, reducing our debt, and living more deliberately. We moved into a “tiny” house (it’s an enormous 350 square feet) in late 2016, selling or donating most of our physical possessions to focus more on the things that we find real value and fulfillment in. This blog is a project with several goals: to help others, to document our story so far and as it continues, and to be a constant reminder that keeps us on the right track. We’re working toward a future with more freedom, less stress, lower overhead, and more fulfillment. We aren’t perfect and we’re still learning. We only hope you can take bits and pieces of what we share and employ them in your own life however you see fit.
Each person’s task in life is to become an increasingly better person
…To maintain one’s self on this earth is not a hardship but a pastime, if we will live simply and wisely
